What To Make The Camera See

More often than not in photography in general we are looking for a great picture, and that’s certainly very true whilst shooting a wedding. Sometimes however, the situation doesn’t quite lend itself to giving you the right ingredients for that great image, but a compromise has to be sought. Take today’s wedding with Samantha & Andrew. They hired me for a half day coverage, so my day was done before the far nicer sunset light was upon us, but I still wanted to get them the best imagery I could …

2014 : A Year Of Progression

Another year done, and this one held yet more steps forward in terms of business progression, along with the number of weddings and portraits shot and thankfully the number of happy customers has grown as well.   My 2014 started quite slowly with only one wedding for January and rather sadly it cancelled with only a few weeks to go before the big day, so that was a bit of a downer, so my first actual wedding shoot happened on the most romantic day of the year. No matter who I shoot weddings for and no matter where the weddings are held, I always like to¬†try and create something a little different, something unique, original if you like. The problem with this of course is most wedding venues will have been shot to death in the bride/groom portraits, and all the usual shots will have been done in all …

2012 for many it seems has been a bit of a naff year, and in many respect its been just that for me to but my photography business has taken strides in the right direction, and although those steps are relatively small I had no idea these steps would ever really happen. The Oz Family I had been a hobbyist photographer for many years and I’ve been lucky enough to have a varied amount of people, friends, family, photographers (known & unknown to me) compliment me on the pictures that …
